Kalipay & Gamay in Concert is based on the original 2024 Filipino American musical and tells the same story with most of the songs and spoken narration. Based on the children’s book by FilAm author Christina Newhard, Kalipay & Gamay tells a story of friendship, feeling different, overcoming bullying, and coping with working parents. Along the way, the children encounter supernatural beings who may or may not be friendly.
